Talk:Mod g729
From FreeSWITCH Wiki
This page is now out of date. There is now a licensed version available (mod_com_g729). mod_g729 will be continue to be supported as the free, open passthrough-only version. SteveAyre 14:56, 04 April 2010 (UTC)
Note that Howler Technologies provides a licensed G.729 solution for FreeSWITCH http://www.howlertech.com/products/howlets/ (I have no affiliation with the company.) Dweekly 04:59, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
- I would suggest that Howler Technologies should be avoided now - from their website: "Howler Technologies has ceased trading with immediate effect." It is therefore unclear at this time what support there is likely to be (almost certainly none) and whether licences will continue to function (if they require a licence server then they may not). It also means that the drivers are no longer available from their website, currently making their cards unusable unless you have already downloaded a driver. SteveAyre 07:34, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
